Sexual difficulties can be difficult to talk about. Psychosexual therapy offers a supportive, safe and understanding place to explore sexual issues and the impact on your relationship/s. Common problems, which respond well to psychosexual therapy for individuals, and couples include:



Initially there is an assessment to find out what the problem is and if there is any need for general relationship counselling or GP/medical interventions. The next step is history taking resulting in a treatment plan to meet your specific needs. Psychosexual therapy is based on a cognitive/behavioural approach underpinned with making sense of and understanding your life experiences. It can also include psychosexual education, practical exercises at home and may involve the use of medication and aids to help.


Therapy for Sex Addiction and Compulsive Sexual Behaviours


Sex addiction and compulsive sexual behaviours can cause significant difficulties for individuals and couples. Specialist therapy can benefit individuals who despite trying to change their problematic and often high risk sexual behaviour-can’t.  Behaviours which interfere with normal living and cause severe stress in self, loved ones, family, friends and one’s work environment include;
